I left the public and private school systems as a teacher to join an international staffing firm in 1986, then joined Aquent in 1998. Since 1986, I've held a variety of roles in the staffing industry from agent to sales manager to area manager of a $60 million region. I then moved into a trainer role, later heading the team, then returning as an international trainer after a short stint as a UX Agent. Today, I lead Aquent's Computer Hardware and Software team helping clients execute their business initiatives, talent achieve their professional goals, and Aquent grow its brand within this fast-paced, competitive industry domain.
Here's something that not many know about me. In 1992 I stepped away from my professional career to get a commercial drivers' license, then drove cross country for two years in a very big truck. Based on my travels, I created a column called Driven Women that was published online and in print throughout North America for 15 years. For fun, I ride a motorcycle (my own), sky dive (Tandem, that is. If I go down, someone's going with me), and have collected well over 200 crystals (think big, beautiful rocks) that decorate my home and office.
